The Custer Area Arts Council’s purpose is to encourage, support, promote, and coordinate cultural activities in Custer, SD and neighboring communities.

We meet on the second Monday of each month from 11am - Noon at the Custer Country Library on 447 Crook St. Meetings are open to the public. If you'd like to learn more about membership, our projects, or filling a board position, please join us.

• Girls Rock Custer - June 19-24
weeklong summer program (for girls leaving grades 4 thru 7) that works to encourage positive self-esteem through music education and performance.
During the week, girls receive instrument instruction (bass, guitar, keyboard, percussion) form a band, write an original song, experience running lights and sound, and perform at a showcase. We provide a supportive community that encourages collaboration, confidence, leadership skills, problem solving, and creative self-expression through hands-on music education and performance.

We partner with local schools, other arts

Courthouse Art Gallery to promote art & artists.
