The Custer Area Arts Council’s purpose is to encourage, support, promote, and coordinate cultural activities in Custer, SD and neighboring communities.

We meet on the second Monday of each month from 11am - Noon at the Custer Country Library on 447 Crook St. Meetings are open to the public. If you'd like to learn more about membership, our projects, or filling a board position, please join us.

Custer Area Arts Council is organized around activating the arts in Custer. We encourage creators & artists in our community and provide organizational, financial, and structural support for efforts to create art of all kinds.
We have a special focus on projects that make Custer unique, that are of our place in the Black Hills, and engage both residents and visitors!
Our Primary Goals:
